I love Reaper, and will never switch because it has abilities that no other DAW has, especially for reamping with the Axe. While there was nothing particularly inevitable about the advent of DAWs, their emergence fitted neatly into an historical moment that drew together. The most notable features are the mixer heads, volume sliders, and colors. It almost replicates the sharpness and detail of Apple products. This theme comes pretty close to the look and feel of Logic.

I have to close and reopen the project (assuming I haven't saved it in the error state).īut their forum is full of other complaints that are just as important to other users as mine are to me. iLogic 3.9 is the latest version of the iLogic series that replicates Apple’s flagship DAW, Logic. Chunks of the timeline disappear, and tempo/sig changes do crazy things. This results in needing to audition and (maybe or maybe not) nudge each audio event that I record.Īdjusting tempo and time signature changes in the Tempo Envelope by simultaneously selecting and moving multiple points TOTALLY jacks up the project (and it isn't related to the items' timebase settings). Recording audio sometimes results in a misplaced event (by about 40 ms) but sometimes not. This seems to happen when you start adding tempo changes and/or time signature changes after the events have been placed. You can't trust the graph in the Midi Editor.
So events that appear as though they are at different times may or may not actually be. Reaper keeps track of all your stuff that you do in a Reaper Project.You can simply revert back to any state your Project was.A very powerful feature in Reap. If you then insert a note that is aligned to the grid, the Properties will show that it is at the exact same midi tick as the one that is not aligned. However, the Property inspector and Event List shows that they are aligned. In the Midi Editor, events will move so that they are no longer aligned to the grid, even though they started out that way and were never moved.
