I love Reaper, and will never switch because it has abilities that no other DAW has, especially for reamping with the Axe. While there was nothing particularly inevitable about the advent of DAWs, their emergence fitted neatly into an historical moment that drew together. The most notable features are the mixer heads, volume sliders, and colors. It almost replicates the sharpness and detail of Apple products. This theme comes pretty close to the look and feel of Logic.

If you then insert a note that is aligned to the grid, the Properties will show that it is at the exact same midi tick as the one that is not aligned.
